I'll try again!

I tried to post some new pics the other day but it wouldn't work (or maybe I was impatient) Today it worked. The pics are kind of random but here they are anyway.

Keegan at the Zoo.

Sitting and of course not looking at the camera.

Keegan sitting on a metal elephant. The little metal kind like some of the animals at the Hogle Zoo. But, the dork in me didn't get it in the picture. I was too worried about getting the live elephant in the picture. Duh!!

In the tub after a badly needed haircut.

Before the badly needed haircut. It was getting crazy.

Here is the apartment complex where we live, we are in the on on the left just past the 2nd tree.

Here is Keegan with messy face.

Keegan FINALLY got his bed and we promptly put up his new tent.

Here is a pic of Keegans room with both of his tents.

Outside playing and holding still for 1/2 a second.

Pictures Finally

Keegs standing in front of a HUGE turbine at the Glen Canyon Dam Visitor Center

My 3 boys looking at the Dam with the bridge in the background.

Keegs and Koda infront of the turbine.

Keegs sleeping in his tent. His bed comes in 2 days. He loves camping in his tent.

Keegs and Dad in a slot canyon at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. He had a lot of fun in the slot canyon and the cave.

So far Tucson has been fun but, we can't wait for our visitors to come next month. Keegs sure misses his "Pa" and usually tells me every day "Talk Pa". We are also excited for Jacey to come and visit a week or so after "Pa"

5 years!!

I can't believe it, today is our 5th wedding anniversary. Time has gone by so fast and so much has happened. Needless to say this anniversary is much different from ones in years past. The biggest one is that we are sooo far away from "home". Usually we go out to a nice dinner and spend the night at the Castle Creek Inn. We love staying there. But not this year. So far it has been a nice day but nothing too extreme. We did go swimming this morniing around 11. Keegan was unsure of it at first but then he didn't want to get out. He was so cold, even though the pool is heated, he was shivering and still didn't want to get out. He loves jumping off the side and having Daddy catch him.

Yesterday we went to the Desert Wildlife Museum. It was nice. Lots of cactus and plants that want to poke you but nice never the less. I have realized that when you first look at the desert with all of it's pain inducing plants it isn't very pretty, it actually looks kind of scary. After walking through the museum with it's cactus gardens and flowers blooming it is pretty, in it's own way. There was also a cool man made cave here. It looked like what I would imagine a cave to look like, Keegan thought it was fun, scary sometimes too. His favorite part of the day was definitely all of the snake exhibits. I am worried I have a little Steve Irwin on my hands. YIKES!!!!

I still haven't gone out to buy a cable for my camera, I promise I will soon.

We Made It!!!

After 2 long days in the car, we made it to Tucson. We drove the first day down to Page, Az and spent the night. We got up the next morning and went to see the Glen Canyon Dam. What an amazing sight. It is unbelievable how it was built. We then spent the next day once again in the car for the last half of the drive. Keegan was great, he slept a lot which is always good. When he was awake he read a lot of books and listened to a lot of Signing Time. He did start asking for "Pa's house" and then would say "far away". He also said this for Dan and Mimi, Jenben, and his favorite little friend Mace (Mason) all to which he would answer to himself "Far Away". Once we got to Tucson we found our apartment and got our stuff inside. Then it was time to get back in the car and go and trade rental cars. This is when Keegs decided that enough was enough. He kept telling us "Get Out" we made the switch as quickly as we could and went in search of dinner.

I did get some pics of our adventures but I packed the cord to our camera and it is now "Far Away" Soon enough I will get another. Bye for now from sunny warm AZ.

Tucson here we come!!!

After talking about it for so long, we finally have our first assignment. Josh will start at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, Az. He needs to be there by March 3rd. So not a lot of time to get our self in gear and down there. We are excited and nervous at the same time. I already think I need the Tums for my stomach. As soon as we got the contract to sign, my stomach flopped around a bit. Oh well, here we go on a great adventure. There has to be good Tex-Mex down there right??

Keegan Turns 2

Yesterday was Keegan's 2nd birthday. I can't believe he is 2. Time goes by way too fast. I didn't have as hard of a time as I thought I would have. Because let me tell you, I was a mess when he turned 1.

We had all of our family and friends over for his birthday. It was a little tight in our little condo but we managed. Keegan had a good time opening all of his presents, he is getting better at it. He got a lot of books, his favorite thing. His favorite book it Richard Scary's, Best Word Book Ever. Josh's family had a very old copy of this book. Aunt Jacey decided that since their copy had seen better days she would get him his very own copy. (he fell asleep with it at naptime today)

He also got books about cars trucks and "Things That Go". This was his attempt at a smile.

This is another one of his favorite gifts. Vanilla wafers, he loves them.

He got a tricycle from my parents. He almost gets the hang of peddling. We will have to work on it. And then the funniest part of the party. With the presents put away he was ready for his cupcake. He had been asking about them all day. He had his very own with a candle in it. The instant we all started singing to him he started crying. Apparently he doesn't like it when people sing to him. We all thought it was funny but he didn't. He was so upset by our singing that he didn't want anything to do with his cake. He wouldn't blow out the candle or eat any of it.

Once the trauma of being sung to wore off he was fine. He had plenty of new books to worry about and a bike to ride. We have the greatest family and friends. We really appreciate them all.

I hate February

Never before have I disliked the month of February, but now I do! When February rolls around it means that Keegan is a year older. I hate it. I want to keep him just the way he is, cute, sweet, and the funniest thing ever. Keegan is the sweetest thing ever full of hugs and kisses and he will share them with almost everyone.

Keegan loves to play with a ball of any kind. His new favorite is a bowling ball. We have taken him bowling 2 times now and he has a blast. He doesn't yet understand that the goal of the game is to hit the pins at the end of the lane but he has a good time anyway. This time we managed to go before they turned off the regular lights and turned on the black lights.

This was his cute pose on the table at the bowling alley, he got tired of bowling so decided to just be cute.

Keegan has an obsession with the dishwasher, if I am trying to load or unload the dishwasher he is right there. He thinks he is most helpful when he is pushing the bottom rack in and closing the door. He thinks it is a big help so I let him. He also loves to scrub the ones that don't fit into the dishwasher. I do have to strip him down since he likes to scrub himself too.

Wow!

Time flies, I can't believe it. Christmas is over and gone and so is half of January. So far this year has been the same as usual. Keegan is as busy as ever. He loves to play with his football and soccer ball, any ball really, even a bowling ball. We decided to go bowling one night and took him along. He was having a great time until they turned the regular lights off and turned the black lights on. The laces and stitching on his shoes glowed very brightly and he hated it. We all thought it was hilarious but he didn't. Keegan spent the rest of the night bowling in his socks that were white and glowing but for some reason didn't bother him. We have also tried sledding which he didn't like one bit. We lasted about 4 runs down a little hill before he started saying "home, home" I guess we will have to try again next year.

Can you beleive it?

I can not believe it, Christmas is almost here. Keegan has been so much fun to watch this year. He has loved everything, from putting up the tree, to "helping" with all of the wrapping. He loves to look at the lights on the tree and to touch every ornament he isn't supposed to. The snow has been a lot of fun, we missed it while we lived in St. George. However, Keegan is not a fan. He loves to look at it but doesn't want to touch it. He loves getting bundled up in is coat and all of his hats and going outside, as long as you don't put him down.
