Guess What!!!! Guess What!!!!

So, most of you know the story. Last year on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend I lost my wedding ring. I have searched EVERYWHERE!!! The pool, Cafe Rio, and The Viehweg's house. I had also ripped apart our condo 3 times, searching EVERYWHERE in there too, cupboards and everything. It was nowhere to be found. I asked Tyler to look for it when they were remodeling the condo before they sold it. I had the janitors at the pool looking, and nothing.
Well.......today......15 months later........ I FOUND IT!!!!!
I had parked our car in the street in front of The Viehweg's house, like we had a zillion times before. I went out to get something out of the car, couldn't find what I was looking for. Closed the car door and looked down, and there it was, in the lava rocks in the park strip. I thought it was a key ring at first and then it only took me a second to realize what it was!!!!!! I was so excited that I ran in the house and told Josh to hold out his hand. He thought I was trying to hand him a bug. Everyone was shocked. It has been at Josh's parents house all along, granted outside in the weather, but there the whole time.
It needs to be cleaned but that is the last time I take it off of my finger!!!!!

Just thought these were cute.

These are from the same day we got the outfit just after a much needed nap. So here is my happy cowboy. (fruit snacks in hand) After the nap he wasn't nearly so upset about the long pants and actually wanted to wear the hat.

YEEE HAW!!!

So the previously mentioned horse show was Friday. Here are some pics of the show. They aren't that great and there isn't that many, my mom put me to work and that kept me from taking too many pictures.
Here is Keegan being silly while we were getting the horse ready. He is wearing an old headband banging the two combs together.

Just before this picture he smashed his thumb in between the two curry combs. I managed to snap a pic right at that moment and the look on his face is quite funny, but alas... the picture is blurry.
Here he is during the kiddy class. My mom is leading the horse and my sister Mimi is making sure that he doesn't fall off.
Here they are again, Keegan had a great time and kept saying "Keegan riding horsey" they had a photographer there and she got quite a few photos that aren't so blurry.
You are also getting a preview of his Halloween costume. My mom spent way too much money on this outfit for him to only wear it once. So that makes my yearly hunt for costumes much easier. Plus he loves this one. He is still sleeping in his boots, if I let him.

My little Cowboy

So this weekend my mom is in charge of a horse show. Since we are in town she decided that it would be fun for Keegs to do the little kiddie class. All of the kids win a ribbon and a trophy. I was just going to make sure he had on long pants and not worry about the outfit. Well, my mom had another idea. She came over today and decided that Keegan needed to Cowboy Up. So here are some pics of his new outfit. Not on my list of things we needed in his wardrobe but cute none-the-less
Keegan napping in his new boots. He wouldn't let me take them off.
Keegs in the whole outfit, minus the hat. He isn't too happy that I made him put on long pants.
Still not happy about the pants and needs a nap.

Keegs riding a horse

Last night we went out with my sister to see her horse. Keegan had seen horses up close one other time and wasn't too happy about it. They were loud and one of them sneezed on him. I didn't think that I could convince him to get on one, let alone get him to stay up there long enough for a picture. But he proved me wrong. He didn't even flinch when I lifted him up on Vicky. He had a lot of fun and wants to do it again.

Camping, Fishing, and of course Keegan

So is it August so we of course made the yearly trip to Island Park. Josh, Keegan and I went up a few days early and stayed in a cabin. When everyone else got there we joined them in the campground. If you have read Jacey's blog you will know that this year bears have been spotted in the campground. I was not too excited about this, especially with Keegan sleeping in his own bag this year. So every night I went to bed keeping one ear listening for bear sounds. (not that I really know what a bear sounds like). Josh and Paul did see a bear but it was across the river and didn't seem interested in going for a life threatening swim.
We made it into Yellowstone park a few times. We love that place, even just the drive, we love looking for all of the animals. We saw buffalo, elk, and even a bear and a cub. No moose or wolves to be found.
Keegan decided to wear goggles around the campfire one night. What a nerd.
The black bear and cub that we saw in the park.

Keegan at Old Faithful just before it went off.

Josh and I took a guided fishing trip down the river this year. Here is me with the biggest fish I have ever caught on a fly rod.

Josh with his "trophy" fish. Don't worry all fish were promptly returned to the river.

This is actually our first night up there, Keegan wanted to go to bed just like this.
We went to the Bear and Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone. This is Keegan inside of a bear trap.
Inside of the gift shop they had a HUGE teddy bear couch. Keegan was scared of it at first.
Keegs eating his very own ice cream cone. He didn't know what to do with the cone once the ice cream was done.
This is Keegs just relaxing, I should say holding still for just 2 seconds.
All in all we had a great trip. We always look forward to going back. Can't wait for next year!
