Soccer Practice

Nothing too exciting but Pa did want to see a bit of Keegan's soccer practice. So here are couple of videos of him dribbling and hopefully these are the ones that he got the ball in the goal.

I haven't forgotten about my photo project, I'll update that tomorrow.

My mom was in town for a visit this day (well more than this day) and we spent most of one day wandering around Old Town ABQ. We ended up in an art studio that had so much fun stuff. One of our favorite things were these horses that were raku fired to get the cool colors.

Doing the dishes, he loves to help. Sure it took him 30+ min to wash 10 pieces of silverware and 4 cups but he was quiet the whole time.

Soccer for Keegan

Keegan had his 1st soccer practice today! He was so cute, he is soooo loud and talkative all day long. It was kind of funny to see him quiet and shy.

This was supposed to be MY bubble bath, instead when I went to get a book and a drink someone decided this looked too good to pass up. Should I just call him Chandler??!!

My hand after getting Crystal Light powder all over them. I ended up having to use Comet to get it off. Keegan still asked why my nails were bleeding since I couldn't get it off from around them.

Keegan just got his soccer cleats in the mail. He is so excited to start soccer, he's already told me that he doesn't think he can wait till next week. We're off to see how fast they make him run, he's sure they will make him "super fast"

Happy 8th Anniversary to us!
This is all that is left of our anniversary dessert. It's kind of become our tradition to go and have a Molten Chocolate Cake from Chilis on our anniversary, so we didn't break that tradition this year. However, this year I did have to fight for my share since we also had Keegan with us and he was eating faster that I could.

Day 71

Boots like this make me laugh every time I see them. I've noticed Mexican cowboys (now, I'm not trying to be derogatory, they are Mexican and they are cowboys) when they get all dressed up have these fancy really pointed toed boot. Some are so pointy I'm surprised they don't have bells on the tip like elf shoes.

This castle was mentioned on MSN a while back. (horrible pic I know) I was at a stop light and had to go.
A lady built this huge thing right in Downtown ABQ. It's funny though because MSN said that it was built in the "skid row" area of ABQ. I didn't even realize we had areas that were called "skid row" makes me think of horrible ugly cities. This is 2 blocks away from one of our favorite restaurants here.

Day 69

Silly boys. I came home the other day to find this. Josh playing video games and Keegan helping. But of course he can"t help while on the ground. He has to be up high, wearing Uggs, a baseball cap with beanie on top of it. And don't forget the all important squirt gun.

Day 68

Keegan showed me this the other day while we were outside playing. He stopped what he was doing and yelled "Hey mom, that tree is a 4!" Funny that it takes the eyes of a 5 year old to stop and notice something so simple.

Day 67

Curry Chicken with spinach and chickpeas. Josh found this recipe and I was a bit worried, but it was amazing! It was in his Men's Health magazine under 1 skillet meals. What could be better than a good meal that only took 1 pan to make?

Ingredients
1 sliced onion
1 tbsp curry powder
1 tbsp veg oil
2-3 chicken breasts cut into strips
1 cup plain yogurt
15 oz can chickpeas
2 cups spinach

1 box of couscous, flavor of your choice.

Step 1
Saute the onion and curry powder in oil until the onion begins to soften. 5-7 min

Step 2
Season the chicken with salt and pepper, nestle them in the pan with the onions and cook until just cooked through. About 2 min a side. Remove chicken and set aside.

Step 3
Stir in the yogurt and cook for 1 min more. (Do not boil) Return the chicken tot he pan. Add the spinach and chickpeas. Cook until the spinach is wilted and the chickpeas are warm. Serve over the couscous.

Day 66

This kid loves Play-Doh and because of that, so do I. He has fun, it keeps him busy and he's even a good boy and cleans up after himself.

Trees are budding, Spring is here!!

Day 64

This is what I woke up to right outside my bedroom window. I heard the noise of the flame and jumped out of bed to see 3 balloons aiming for a good spot. Our bedroom window faces the field so it may be brown and ugly but hopefully since it's warmer this happens more often!

Day 63

My new toy and the cute case I sewed for it. But now that I've talked with my sister, who also has a Nook. I think I may need a case for my case. She has a cute case like this but then she also found a cute hard sided pencil box that she puts it all in so it is safe in her purse. Something to ponder but for now I'll be reading....

Day 62

We went to ABQ Uptown, it's like the Gateway in UT. After lunch we strolled around the stores and found this little treat! A whole store based around chocolate chips. It was tasty!!
