Bowling Party

Last night we had Keegans bowling party. We invited his little friends and their parents too. We had 3 lanes to ourselves. Amid some slightly organized chaos games got bowled, kids had fun, cupcakes got eaten.

And for a brief second the kids sat still.

Goodbye Vancouver....Hello Salt Lake

Today we are leaving Vancouver and heading home. We are kind of bummed, we have liked it here a lot, maybe even more than ABQ. And sadly enough, the place we have liked the most we spent the shortest amount of time here. No option for extending and even the other travelers that the hospital did extend had their contracts canceled. So since I am on a list kick I will list what we are going to miss the most.

1. Tillamook Cheese being cheep. Here, it is cheaper than any store brand out there. Soon we will be back where I can only dream about buying it.
2. The trees, it is so pretty here.
3. The weather, I really can't complain. It was never really cold and I actually like the rain a lot.

4. The park just across the street. It was so nice to be able to take Keegan to the park anytime it wasn't raining.
5. The fun things to do here, the zoo is gorgeous, Multnomah Falls, the beach was close enough to do in for a day trip.

Anyway, we will be hitting the road later today, wish us luck.

I'm pretty sure he won't let me put diapers on his head anymore.

Keegans Favorites

I decided it would be fun to have a little Q & A session with Keegan, here are some questions and his answers exactly as he told me

Hmmm, blue I mean red and blue

2. What is your favorite animal?
Mammoths and my favorite dinosaurs are therapods like T-rex cause he has 2 fingers on each hand.

3. What is your favorite toy?
T-rex

4. What is your favorite show to watch on TV?
Dinosaur Train

5. What is your favorite movie?
Hmmmm, hmmmm Ice Age

6. What is your favorite book?
Hmmmmm, Lion King

So this was the first edition of Q&A with Keegan. I can't say I love the answer to #10, but that is exactly what he said. I was hoping he would say Chutes and Ladders but nope. He loves those dang Zombies.

Happy Valentines Day

Hope you all have had a wonderful day. Ours was spent relaxing around the house. Keegan managed to let us sleep in until 9:00, which was much appreciated. I made pancakes for the boys for breakfast which I think is their favorite. We then caught up on the Olympics that Josh had missed yesterday while at work. Josh was in charge of lunch and that left me completely STUFFED!!

I decided to list 5 things I love since Keegan does call today "Love Day"

1. Obviously my 2 guys. Josh and Keegan, they are truly the best things to ever happen to me.
2. Traveling, I have absolutely loved the opportunity we have had to travel and see new places. Our time her in Vancouver is almost at an end, I can't believe it.
3. Unlimited minutes on our phones. I don't think I could enjoy traveling as much as I do if I weren't able to call my friends and family ALL of the time. I do tend to harass some more than others. Thanks for letting me do so.
4. Chocolate..not much else needs to be said here.
5. Getting to go home and see family in 1 week.

Keegan Funnies

"Mom, do you know how I see things? There are little guys in my head taking pictures of what I'm looking at and then they send them to my brain"

Early this morning Keegan came running out of his room with a shoe in his had and yelled "MOM there's a bug in my pants!!" I asked "there's a bug in your pants?" He responded, "not these pants, the ones on my floor, I saw it, and thought it was a running arrow, but it's a bug"

Uncle Jon works at the Costco that George Bush was doing a book signing at. Keegan was talking to Jon on the phone and I told Keegan to ask Jon if he saw President Bush. Keegan quickly ask "Jon, did you see a president in a bush?"

He's been saying this for a while now but it still makes me laugh. If you say to him "You don't say" he ALWAYS responds with "OH, I'll say alright!"

Today Keegan told me "Watch out mommy, I'm coming in hot" he then jumped from the coffee table to the couch. When I asked him if he even knew what that meant and he told me "it means I'm going really fast and it will be hard to stop"

When I was unsure of the pool temp he didn't hesitate and jumped in. When he saw that I was still standing on the side he said "jump in mommy, it's refreshing"

Keegan and his best bud had a bit of a disagreement and Keegs ended up with a 1 inch gash in his head. (He's fine) But when I asked him if he was mad at Evan he replied "No, but he sure was mad at me!"

Not a "funny" but just a note, while we were in Mexico Keegan learned to say his "K" and "C's". So he no longer calls himself "Teenan" and Koda is no longer "Toda" It was such a shock to hear him ask us how was "MexiCO" not "MexiTo"

I have resorted to washing Keegans mouth out with a tiny bit of soap when he argues. Afterwards I was talking to him explaining that arguing isn't good and that the soap tastes yucky right?? He looked at me and said "Well, it doesn't taste GOOD"!!

The other day Keegan fell out of my mom's really tall truck. When he was asked if he got hurt on the truck he said, "No, it was the ground that hurt me"!

**Warning, not really funny, but still so funny at the time, maybe shocking is the right word**

Keegan dropped the "F" bomb today, totally random and so unlike him that I didn't believe he actually said what I thought he did. I actually made him say it again to see if heard him right. So despite me and Josh laughing we had to tell him it wasn't funny and that if he ever said it again he would go to time out for a long long time.

He got a watch for Christmas, if you ask him what time it is he often says "here, you look at it" It is a digital watch and will read the #'s individually if there is a 3 anywhere in the time he thinks they are E's So the other day it was 4 "E"7

Josh was helping him put on the ONLY pair of pants that actually fit and don't fall down. Keegan doesn't unsnap the snap and was struggling to get them over his keester so he said "my butt is too big" If you have actually seen Keegan you know that is NOT the case.

He often asks me how fast different animals can run, he usually wants me to tell him if it is faster or slower than Koda.

I told Keegan his drawers were falling down, he turned to me and said "What???? my drawers???" he then immediately ran upstairs and pushed in his dresser drawers.

Keegan asked if Grandpa Dan was up in heaven? I told him yes. He asked if he was up in the stars and clouds? I said yes. He then asked, when he is done in his rocket can he come back down?

Keegan got to meet Elmo at Sea World, he ran up and gave him a huge hug. Afterward he told me that "I gave Elmo a hug and didn't even poke him in the eye"

When his finger nails get to long he tells me he has "girl nails"

While on vacation, he asked if we were going to the beach that day, I told him "No we are going to Sea World today" he started to cry and then told me he didn't wan't to go to Sea World that he wanted to go to Wal-Mart.

While out one day a little girl called to her mommy and Keegan turned to me and said "Mommy she said your name"

I had asked Keegan for another kiss this morning and he replied "Nope, only one kiss today."

"Mom, there is something in my flip-flop!!" I ask, what is it? Get it out. He replies "my foot"

"Pa" is going pee, but he doesn't need my step stool betause he is very tall."
