Soccer Practice

Nothing too exciting but Pa did want to see a bit of Keegan's soccer practice. So here are couple of videos of him dribbling and hopefully these are the ones that he got the ball in the goal.

I haven't forgotten about my photo project, I'll update that tomorrow.

Same stuff, different day

Not much to report, we extended here in ABQ for another 3 months. Which puts us here till sometime in May. Other than that it's just our daily stuff. Here's some new pics of the "daily stuff"

Here's what happens when he gets sent to time out. It seems that it's just easier to go to sleep that endure punishment.

Some days we chase roadrunners

Or take trips to the aquarium. Here are the cute door handles to the aquarium. Keegan has fun but because we've been there so many times it's a quick activity. Which makes it great for both of us.

Here is a pic of my favorite little fish at the aquarium. Can you see him?? He's there I promise. It's the cutest little flounder that almost completely matches the sand on the bottom. Sometimes I can't find him.

We took ANOTHER picture in this bubble into the big aquarium.

We went to It'z. Kind of like Chuck E Cheese but with much better food and better games and no smelly sweaty kid smell. This boy of mine loves the skee-ball.

With all our tickets from It'z we had enough for an inflatable chair for Keegans room. Made me dizzy to blow it up.

So that's ABQ for the last couple of weeks.

Happy New Year!!!

Hope everyone had another wonderful holiday! Not unlike Christmas we spent it in ABQ, with just the 3 of us. Josh was supposed to work on New Years Day so he went to bed early on NYE, before Keegan actually. And I stayed up to watch the ball drop.....which I missed. Oh well, I'll try again next year. Lets hope 2011 proves to be a great one!

Christmas Day

We spent out Christmas here in Albuquerque. It was fun, quiet and frankly P.E.R.F.E.C.T.
While we miss our loved ones far away it's also been nice to start our own traditions and do things the way we want.
Unfortunately a couple of us were under the weather on Christmas so there are no pictures..... I know, totally unlike me. Keegan got everything he asked for and more! It was so much fun watching him get excited about all the things Santa left as well as all the things that were wrapped under the tree. He has played with it all non-stop.

As for dinner, since it's just the 3 of us and there is no need to put on a huge deal with all the things that are traditional, we had this....
(this is the only pic taken from that day, and Josh took it)
It was a Seafood Extravaganza!!!
This is one tradition that I would love to continue next year!!
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Snow in ABQ

So, we've been told it doesn't happen often, and it melts quickly but it was pretty while it lasted. Last week we rushed out of Salt Lake to get ahead of a storm only to be greated by rain as soon as we crossed the New Mexico border. It rained all of the next day (I almost forgot we weren't in Vancouver) and turned into this by the evening.
The tree right outside our patio

The apartment across the way.

in total I think we got 3 inches MAX and yet the schools were closed and some state offices didn't have to go in at the normal hour. We are definitely not in Utah.

For "Pa"

"Pa" Wanted more pictures so here they are.
Keegan and I spent the afternoon playing in the leaves. Not sure what that smile is but oh well.

Another leaf picture. He waits till I pile up all the leaves and then runs as fast as he can all the from the other end of the lawn area.

We went to the aquarium last week, here he is on the large starfish that is new.

So there you have it, new pictures for "Pa" I'll post more for you as soon as I take some.

Christmas in Old Town

Last night they lit the Old Town Christmas Tree. While we weren't there last night, we headed down tonight for dinner and to walk around. We went to a new Mexican restaraunt that one of the waitresses also works with Josh at the hospital. The food was good, and it was really festive in there. So festive in-fact, Santa and Mrs. Claus were at the very next table. You should have seen the look on Keegans face, he had a smile from ear to ear.
Old Town was pretty empty tonight, the city was having their big Christmas Light Parade just a couple of blocks over. We did walk over to see what was going on, but we must have been at the end of the route. It was taking forever and Keegan got tired of waiting so we left, it was so crowded we wouldn't have been able to see much.

Natural History Museum

We went to the Natural History Museum today. Because of the holiday it was free to get in, all the more reason to go right? Josh had never been so we had a first-timer with us.

Here is a picture of "Stan" chomping on Keegan.
Here is Keegan all the way in the mouth of "Stan" the T-Rex
when we were here last year I took pictures of Keegan in-front of the dinosaur and once I got home I was soooo dissapointed that I didn't think of this "pose" while we were there. I was so excited today to be able to do this one. (I'm a dork, I know)

Cute little painted sauropod

Here is the Seismosaurus that was found here in NM, just NE of ABQ

Keegan told me I had to take this picture too. I couldn't leave him out.

And one more on the way out of the museum because I noticed he had his eyes closed in the other one I took.

Loving This Weather

The weather here has been AMAZING!! I love it when the temps outside are perfect for long pants or shorts, and driving with your window down.

Here are some of the bright colors along the river.

Here is Keegs out for a walk with me and Koda. He loves his Halloween shirt and wants to wear it all the time.

Pumpkin Carving 2010

Align Center
We love carving pumpkins, we do it every year. Most years we carve more than one each.
This year Keegan wanted to do his own. He didn't realize I was going to make him get the guts out. He isn't happy about it.
He is yelling at me "DON'T TAKE MY PICTURE WHILE I'M TOUCHING GUTS!!!"
Really upset that this is "too gross"

The gross part is over and on to the carving. He did it mostly himself, I just helped with the cutting a bit especially the corners.

Keegans pumpkin (we didn't have a candle, so it's a headlamp in there)

Josh's pumpkin
Mine, I wasn't too excited about any of the patterns. My next one will be better I promise.

Tyler's Visit

Tyler came to visit this weekend. He's pretty funny, he rented a truck to drive here Saturday and then had to leave Sunday afternoon. It was a short visit but we'll take it!! Saturday night the boys watched football, and played video games. On Sunday Josh had to work so after we took the dogs for a walk we had lunch and then took lunch to Josh. We took Tyler on a little tour of Old Town, to see The Candy Lady (yummy candy store) Then after a short short trip he had to go home.
Here are Tyler and Keegan at the fountain in Old Town.

Look Alike?

So not much has been going on around here. Just the usual stuff that everyone does. Which means there are not many new pics to share.
Last night however, I was being forced to watch baseball and was nearly bored to death when I looked over and saw this.
They don't look alike at all do they?
We did manage to get over to the botanical gardens last week were they have a small bug exhibit going on. Keegan had seen it before but was really exicted to show Josh all the stuff that the "bug guy" lets you touch. (nope, no pics of that either, strange for me I know)

Special Shape Balloons

Balloon Fiesta has a day (or 2) where they launch all the fun shaped balloons. This year 109 different special shapes participated, click here to see most of them. Here are some that I got pics of. There are a lot....but I'm not really sorry.
