Whew.....

What fun we have had the last couple of weeks. Josh's parents came into town the 1st weekend in December. We had a lot of fun while they were here! Then just 4 days after we took them back to the airport, Jacey and Jon flew into town. We showed them the sights of Spokane, the few that there are. We also went to Coeur D' Alene with all of them. The main street in CDA reminds me of downtown Park City. Cute shops and older buildings. There is a little mall there that had Santa. I was so looking forward to another year with a pic of Keegs sitting on Santa's lap and screaming. But no luck.

This year Keegs was happy to sit on Santa's lap if it meant he got a sucker.

All around CDA there are these moose. You can get a map and follow him to a bunch of different things to see. We didn't do it it was freezing.

There is a super cute toy store that has a tiny carosel in it. Keegs got to go around quite a few times. Thanks to Uncle Jon who kept feeding it quarters.

Jacey needed some pants hemmed so after I cut off about 5 inches, I sewed them together and the brothers wore them as headbands while playing some N64. They are Crazy.

This is in CDA again, I took this the week that Paul and Tari were here. I didn't realize it as I was taking it but it looks like the buffalo is doing his business on my kids head. YIKES!!

Now for some pics of Winter Storm 2008.

This was the 1st night that it started. I took Keegan and Koda out to play in it. Koda was so excited about being out in the snow that he got kind of rowdy.

Koda grabbed Keegan by the pant leg and drug him backwards for about 30 feet. It was hilarious. The whole time Keegs was trying to grab snow to stop himself. And he was yelling at Koda to let go. I guess since I knew he wasn't getting hurt, I couldn't help but laugh.

The snow kept coming all night. Keegan wanted to go out and play. But with this much snow he couldn't do much.

Since playing in the snow is such hard work, he decided to make a chair. He sat there forever. I had to drag him in the house.

The snow is way too deep for a 2 year old, so he decided crawling was better.

Terrible 2's

So here is what happens when you leave daddy in charge for just a few minutes. ( I should say that it was right in the middle of the 1 and only show he has to watch every week. ) Last night Keegan decided to do some TP'ing. The roll of TP in his bathroom can't be on the roll thing cause then he rolls all of it on to the floor. I had put the roll on the counter and he decided to string it out through the house, we then realized that there was probably more, sure enough, 1/2 of the roll was in the toilet along with the actual cardboard roll.

Josh got to clean clean up since he had been in charge.
If this is what he gets into at age 2 I am worried, what is 3 going to be like?

Just some randomness

When I was loading pics last time I didn't get all of our Seattle pics so here are some more and then some random pics of our daily lives.

On our way home from Seattle we passed the Oscar Meyer Weiner moblie. It was way too big to get a pic as we were passing so here is a pic in the side mirror.

Snoqualmie falls again, this time you can kind of see the amount of water spraying up.

The 2nd biggest leaf I have ever seen. That is my foot next to the leaf, and most of you know I have huge feet so that makes the leaf pretty darn big. It is the 2nd biggest leaf because when I found the biggest leaf ever it was too dark to take a picture. oh well.

This one is at Costco. Keegan really wanted this GIGANTIC stuffed animal. We had to tell him that if we brought it home it would scare Koda, he didn't want to do that.

Keegan at his very first movie. Well the very first movie that we brought him to that we intended him to watch and not sleep through. He sat pretty well through the whole thing. He calls Madagascar the Zebra movie.

Seattle

This past weekend we went to Seattle. What a beautiful place. I have decided, who needs to live in Salt Lake when you could live somewhere like Seattle. I have also told Josh that his next assignment needs to be over there somewhere. AMAZING!!!

On our way over we stopped at Snoqualmie Falls. It was somewhere Josh had always wanted to see but never managed to get over there. We didn't know at first but the river was flooding. Normally the falls aren't so big. There was so much mist in the air it was raining without really raining. We saw the falls from the top and then decided to hike to the bottom. It's only 1/2 mile down, no big deal right? Once we were part way down, with a 2 year old mind you, Josh reminded me that we have to hike up everything we are walking down. But I was determined. The walk down was gorgeous, and the walk up, well needless to say it too, much longer coming up than it did going down. Oh well, we made it!!

The next day we went to Peace Arch Park, there is a big arch that once you go under it you are technically in Canada. Keegan ran straight through the arch and fell down in the mud. So he had Canadian mud on him the rest of the day.

On the way back we went a different route and went over Deception Pass. So pretty. You go over a HUGE bridge that connects 2 different islands.

Keegan and Josh walking through Pike's Place Market. Keegan had to take his RSL (Real Salt Lake) backpack everywhere. And since we forgot the stroller he walked a lot this weekend. And if any of you know my kid. He would much rather be carried.

What a great weekend, before we had even left Seattle we were already talking about our next trip over there. Can't wait.

Yes, that is right, 324 is the amount of denim squares that I cut by hand. I hope to be able to use my hand again soon. ha ha. Yes, I know, you wonder why I didn't use my rotary cutter?? I have the rotary cutter and the ruler but forgot to pack the mat. And they are kind of pricey, especially since I have a perfectly good one somewhere at Mimi's house.

I decided that after sewing blankets for 3 other people , 2 if you don't count Keegans, I would sew one for us. Josh helped cut all the legs of the jeans open and then I went to work. I really forgot how much work it is. Keegan's was by far the easiest since the squares were left over from Jacey's quilt. And Jacey cut half of them herself.

After all of that cutting I am not sure I have the motivation to do the sewing. Yikes!!

Fall

As we were driving around yesterday looking for a bakery, we found this area next to Manito park. It is in an area of town that is older but well taken care of. The trees there are HUGE and had tons of colorful leaves. Well, we found the bakery/coffee shop. If you ever wanted to find a coffee shop that felt more like "Central Perk" well this is it. So cute, in the middle of a neighborhood, and the scones were great.

Anyway, I decided that I wanted to go back this morning to try to get some fun pictures of Keegs. Well, I did get some that I liked but it really is a challenge to get him to hold still long enough for my camera to get the picture or for him to not be making some silly face. Here are some of the ones that I got today. There are actually a lot more but I can't get the computer here at the library to rotate them so they wouldn't be sideways. Here you go, no specific order or captions to them.

That's it for now, I am sure I will take more on Halloween. I don't know yet what Keegan and I will be up to. Josh will be at work so who knows.
