SEVEN

He's SEVEN!  And what a great seven years it's been!  

Keegan got to go to the Lego store in Bellevue for his present from us.  I told him he could pick out whatever he wanted.  So we drove up there and because there wasn't any major traffic and somehow it's closer than I imagined we got there 45 minutes before the stores opened.  Pure torture for a kid who's been waiting to go to this store for over a month!  

Waiting....waiting..........waiting.

We wandered around the mall a bit while we were waiting but he kept getting antsy that we were getting too far away from the Lego store. 

By the time the store opened there was a little crowd all waiting for it to open,  There were probably 6 kids standing there waiting.  Any time the employees came near the door they all got excited that MAYBE it was time.  

Once they opened Keegan calmly walked in and picked up the box he's had his eye on for weeks and announced that he was done.  It was a $20 set and when I told him to go pick something else (meaning more) he got upset that I was trying to make him pick something different not realizing that I mean go pick out something MORE.  This is his birthday present from us after all.  In the end he got another box the same size and also a smaller set.  I picked up for him the Lego Christmas ornament for next year and also a ton of a certain block to make a display for all his mini-figures.  He was one happy boy and as we were walking out of the store he told us that now all he wanted to do was go home so he could play.
