Island Park 2012

After missing out last year because of our move we decided that we had to make it to Island Park this year.  We chose to go in August when Josh's grandparents were going even though his sister and her family and his parents were going in July.  Instead, my mom and aunt came to camp for the first 1/2 of the trip and then because Tari can't resist my cute babies she and Paul came for the last 1/2.

USUALLY the weather is a bit cooler and there are less mosquitoes in Aug.  Well.....this year August had a mind of it's own.  It was not cooler, it was WARM and DRY. Anyway, on to the pictures.

Here's Carleigh at Old Faithful (back in the distance)  those of us from Washington where it isn't usually sunny or hot were hiding in the shade.

There are fires all over Idaho and the smoke was blowing right to us.  This was Monday night when it was at it's worst.  I honestly considered packing up and going home because it was SO bad.  The fires were far away but there was so much smoke and ash in the air that it was falling on us and our tent.

Here's our cute Carleigh Girl taking her 1st camping bath....in a bucket.  She didn't care, it was warm and she loved it.

Here's Keegan goofing off in the stroller, sure he can't see but he's still light enough that I could technically still use it for him.

Another picture of the sun one night, sooo red.

We drove into Herriman State Park one night to look for moose, here's Keegan at Millionaire Pools

all in all it was a good trip
