Fun in "Alba Turkey"

So far things in Albuquerque have been great. We have a brand new park right by our house, Keegan loves it. He now thinks he is just like the big boys. He can now climb up the slide like he has seen others do so many times.

On Monday we went to the Rio Grande Zoo. I is such a nice zoo. They have a lot of animals all in nice enclosures. This is Keegs sitting with a sculputre of a Mexican Wolf aka.. a Lobo.


They have the zoo divided to corrispond with the regions of the world that the animals came from. This was a throne in the African region.

This is what I was most excited for. Moe the hippo. The last time we went to the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake we discovered that our hippo Moe, had been moved to another zoo, the Rio Grande Zoo in Albuquerque. He is now happily married and has a baby. His enclosure at the zoo in SLC always made me sad, you all know it, cement walls and that is about it. Here he has a nice pond and it is outside so he can get some sun too. This isn't the greatest picture but I promise the grey blob in the water is him. His lovely wife and baby are in the picture too.

This zoo has 2 gorgeous tigers. They were hanging out for everyone to see this guy was just watching the activity while the other was in and out of the pond. I love tigers.
