My 3rd denim quilt. This one is for Tyler and was probably the most expensive. If any of you have heard me talking about Tyler, you would know why. When he decided that he wanted a quilt he went through his many, many pairs of jeans and gave me about 15 that he wouldn't wear any more. No let me just say, some of these were almost brand new. I couldn't cut them up. I know for a fact that one pair was only worn for a couple of months and then he got a tiny stain on it and went out and bought another pair exactly like it. So lucky for Jon he is the same size. So I swapped out practically new pairs for ones that Jon has given some good use. So after 2 nights of tracing and cutting squares, and 3 blisters later I was ready to start sewing. Once I get to this point it is almost an obsession. I just want to sew until it is done, and with Josh working nights I am able to do that. So Yay!!! Tyler's quilt is done. Maybe someday I will eventually do one for Josh and myself. Let the saving begin, ohhh if you think about it, save your old jeans and give them to me instead of throwing them away.
Well, one week from today we will be arriving in Salt Lake. No more Tucson. We haven't decided what we are going to do with ourselves for a whole month, but I am sure we will figure it out.

Man...I wish that I would have know...I just donated like 20 pair of jeans...seriously!
I'm bummed that I wasn't able to help you tie the quilt. HAHA! Looks good, he'll love it.
And I can't wait for the end of this week to come.
So, do your jean quilts look the same on the back, or do you back them with a different fabric?? I've been wanting to make one...
Brittany, the backing that I have done has either been a cotton or this one is a flannel.
Jace, don't you worry, one of Tylers friends from work wants one. I told him I would sew it but the cutting was up to him. We will be able to have another quilting day once I get up there.
