Just some randomness

When I was loading pics last time I didn't get all of our Seattle pics so here are some more and then some random pics of our daily lives.
On our way home from Seattle we passed the Oscar Meyer Weiner moblie. It was way too big to get a pic as we were passing so here is a pic in the side mirror.

Here is the HUGE bridge that we had to cross. I hate driving across bridges!

Here is a pic of Peace Arch. Keegan is the tiny brown dot running toward it.

Snoqualmie falls again, this time you can kind of see the amount of water spraying up.

The 2nd biggest leaf I have ever seen. That is my foot next to the leaf, and most of you know I have huge feet so that makes the leaf pretty darn big. It is the 2nd biggest leaf because when I found the biggest leaf ever it was too dark to take a picture. oh well.

Here are just some pics of our daily lives.
This one is at Costco. Keegan really wanted this GIGANTIC stuffed animal. We had to tell him that if we brought it home it would scare Koda, he didn't want to do that.

The boys reading in the Giraffe tent. Josh will probably be mad that I posted this but, too bad.

Keegan at his very first movie. Well the very first movie that we brought him to that we intended him to watch and not sleep through. He sat pretty well through the whole thing. He calls Madagascar the Zebra movie.

Seattle

This past weekend we went to Seattle. What a beautiful place. I have decided, who needs to live in Salt Lake when you could live somewhere like Seattle. I have also told Josh that his next assignment needs to be over there somewhere. AMAZING!!!
On our way over we stopped at Snoqualmie Falls. It was somewhere Josh had always wanted to see but never managed to get over there. We didn't know at first but the river was flooding. Normally the falls aren't so big. There was so much mist in the air it was raining without really raining. We saw the falls from the top and then decided to hike to the bottom. It's only 1/2 mile down, no big deal right? Once we were part way down, with a 2 year old mind you, Josh reminded me that we have to hike up everything we are walking down. But I was determined. The walk down was gorgeous, and the walk up, well needless to say it too, much longer coming up than it did going down. Oh well, we made it!!

The next day we went to Peace Arch Park, there is a big arch that once you go under it you are technically in Canada. Keegan ran straight through the arch and fell down in the mud. So he had Canadian mud on him the rest of the day.

On the way back we went a different route and went over Deception Pass. So pretty. You go over a HUGE bridge that connects 2 different islands.

The boys looking out over Decption Pass. It was really windy but worth getting out of the car.

Keegan and Josh walking through Pike's Place Market. Keegan had to take his RSL (Real Salt Lake) backpack everywhere. And since we forgot the stroller he walked a lot this weekend. And if any of you know my kid. He would much rather be carried.

What a great weekend, before we had even left Seattle we were already talking about our next trip over there. Can't wait.

324

Yes, that is right, 324 is the amount of denim squares that I cut by hand. I hope to be able to use my hand again soon. ha ha. Yes, I know, you wonder why I didn't use my rotary cutter?? I have the rotary cutter and the ruler but forgot to pack the mat. And they are kind of pricey, especially since I have a perfectly good one somewhere at Mimi's house.
I decided that after sewing blankets for 3 other people , 2 if you don't count Keegans, I would sew one for us. Josh helped cut all the legs of the jeans open and then I went to work. I really forgot how much work it is. Keegan's was by far the easiest since the squares were left over from Jacey's quilt. And Jacey cut half of them herself.
After all of that cutting I am not sure I have the motivation to do the sewing. Yikes!!

More Pictures.....

Here are some more pictures, I couldn't get them to work before. I figured it out, so you are forced to look at my kid again.

Josh was throwing leaves at him

He posed himself for this one.

Josh told him to say "Cheese" and this is the smile we end up with.

Just having fun.

My new favorite. Mr. Blue eyes strikes again.

Fall

As we were driving around yesterday looking for a bakery, we found this area next to Manito park. It is in an area of town that is older but well taken care of. The trees there are HUGE and had tons of colorful leaves. Well, we found the bakery/coffee shop. If you ever wanted to find a coffee shop that felt more like "Central Perk" well this is it. So cute, in the middle of a neighborhood, and the scones were great.
Anyway, I decided that I wanted to go back this morning to try to get some fun pictures of Keegs. Well, I did get some that I liked but it really is a challenge to get him to hold still long enough for my camera to get the picture or for him to not be making some silly face. Here are some of the ones that I got today. There are actually a lot more but I can't get the computer here at the library to rotate them so they wouldn't be sideways. Here you go, no specific order or captions to them.

That's it for now, I am sure I will take more on Halloween. I don't know yet what Keegan and I will be up to. Josh will be at work so who knows.

Pictures

Keegs is mad that I made him sit in a tree.
The big red wagon slide
Biggest Radio Flyer I have ever seen.
The Goat vaccum that you feed. He liked leaves the best.
Newest hiding spot, the linen closet.
Fall leaves at my aunts house in MT.
The view from her back yard
Our living room
Out in front of David's Pizza, accross the street from Gonzaga
Still mad I made him sit in a tree.

We Made It

What a great trip. It was a lot of fun staying with my Aunt and Uncle in Hamilton, Mt. We got to just hang out and relax before we continued on to Washington. The drive from my Aunts house to Spokane was great. The entire drive was through the mountains full of trees. We got to our apartment to find that it is a 3 bedroom not just a 2. Everything is new and really clean. I took some pictures but of course, the computer I am using at the library isn't being friendly. The USB port is in just a place that I can't get my photo card in it. I will have to find the library that is closer to us and hope it is better.

We Love Pumpkins!!

So I know some of you will have already seen some of these but, what can you do? In my family we always loved to carve pumpkins. Even when my sister and I were in high school we would still carve pumpkins with my dad. So it has continued and we still try to do it now that we are older. So this weekend was pumpkin weekend for us since it is our last weekend here. We carved with Josh's family in the morning and then had dinner with my fam and carved with them in evening. So here are all of our amazing pumpkins

Josh's 2nd pumpkin of the day
My 2nd pumpkin
My mom carved this one. It is Rocket from Little Einstiens, she carved it for Keegan.
My Dad carved this cute camping scene.

Here are all of our pumpkins from earlier in the day.

Josh's and mine
Jon and Jacey's
I love this time of year. I love the weather and the colors on the mountain. I am really excited to see what it looks like in Spokane this time of year.

Completely Random Pics

I figured that since my last 3 posts have been without pictures I should put some on here. They are completely random but Keegs is in them so I think they are kind of cute.

In Grandpa and Grandma Cowball's hot tub.

Fishing at a little pond with Dad. Keegan just walked into the pond and got his boots wet.

Mad that I am taking his picture AGAIN

And last of all Mr. Underpants. This is what he wanted to wear to be the other night. His boots, underwear and his "bat hat"

To answer your question, Yes, Spokane!!!

Yay!!! We finally heard back from somewhere. Well, one that doesn't include alien abductions i.e. Roswell, NM. ( we turned that one down). Today while I was at work Josh called to let me know that his recruiter got his liscense number from the state of Washington. We were really excited because we thought it would be weeks more before we heard anything. So he was able to send Josh's info to a couple of places in Washington. Then just a few hours later, Josh got a call. He will be able to start on October 15th, the day of the next available hospital orientation, sooner if the manager can talk the hospital into it. While we have had a GREAT summer and visit with our families, it is time to explore something new!!

Dang it Megan!

Ok, so the other day at work I informed Megan that she need to help me out and put something new on her blog. I have become somewhat of a blog stalker and had alreay read her latest post about 10 times. I will inform you that they are currently building a new house and have been doing a lot of work themselves. But dang it I need something new. So being the nice person that she is she complies and posts something new and then dang it, tags me to do the same.

Here we go 6 quirks you may or may not know about me

1. My shoes have to be tied the same tightness, if not I will continue to re-tie them until I get it right or give up and untie them both.

2. I ALWAYS have my toe nails painted but will never put anything more than clear polish on my fingers.

3. If one hand gets wet and needs to be dried off I have to get the other one wet too.

4. I hate adressing envelopes. I don't mind writing letters or post cards but can't stand addressing them.

5. I can not wear socks around the house. I either have my shoes and socks on or go barefoot.

6. I do not like peanut butter, but love reeses PB cups.

Ok, so now it is your turn. If you have bothered to read this I tag you.

Update

So there is still nothing new to report on the traveling front. All of the ladies at the Olympus Clinic are very happy with this. We did have one of the hospitals in Tx request additional info on Josh, so that is encouraging. I do have to say however, I fear that the cockroaches in Tx will put the ones in Tucson to shame. YIKES!!!!

I am happy to say that after 3 intense days, not leaving the house, Keegan is almost completely potty trained. He stays dry all day, and can manage to get himself to the potty. He can usually go all night too. So YAY!!!! no more diapers. Ok so after I typed all of this I went upstairs to check on Keegan who was napping, and he was soaked. This is the first time he has had an accident during a nap. Good thing "Pa" loves him, cause it was on his bed. Ooops.

I'll post when I know more.

Fishing, Fishing and more Fishing

So there were 2 thing that Josh wanted to do while on our extended vacation on Utah, golf and fish. Well here are some more pictures of fishing, and he will be hitting the golf course this after noon, so mission accomplished. We had fun as usual up in Heber on Tuesday. The weather was GREAT and this fishing was too. Josh caught the biggest fish we have ever seen out of that river. Keegan loves going, whenever Josh catches a fish Keegs runs over and Josh lets him reel it in the last bit. Keegs thinks it is great, his other favorite thing to do is throw rocks ( i know, complete boy thing) but the best part is that Koda is right there with him fetching the rocks that Keegs throws in.

Here is Josh letting go of is HUGE fish.
This was only the second fish he caught for the day and he told me that after that one he could be done and call it a day. Did he though.....of course not.
Daddy and Keegan showing off a "Big Fat Fish" as Keegan said
And here are the best buds ever. We knew we had a great dog, but he puts up with everything Keegan can deal out. Seriously the best dog ever.
